Over a year in the making, my solo show at the Common Wealth Gallery was an incredible experience. Everything that led up to the show- the planning, making the work, seeing the work evolve and coalesce into a real cohesive unit- all of this, as scary and exciting and fun as it was, did not prepare me for the experience of seeing it all come together last night. Amazing.
And then the people came.
That’s usually the worst part of being an artist for me, and last night everything changed. People really responded to the work. Thank you to everyone who came and to everyone who helped! Thank you to all of the people who enjoyed the show and let me know about it. Thank you! |
